This book is a simplified and condensed Chinese herbal medicine formulas manual, containing the categories commonly studied in Chinese herbal medicine programs. Much of the information contained in this manual is a summarized version of information I have drawn from my teaching notes, clinical experience and information one can find in the comprehensive text, Formulas and Strategies 2nd Edition by Scheid, Bensky, Ellis and Barolet.
 
I have condensed and summarized the information to promote learning and embracing Chinese herbal medicine in a practical, simplified way for beginning students as well as seasoned practitioners and educators. I have selected specific formulas from each category that are used frequently in clinical practice, and many are also included in the national herbal board exams.
 
This book contains information specific to the study of Chinese herbal medicine and is presented as an educational tool for students and practitioners of Chinese medicine.
